GF/DF Stuffed Turkey Burgers

This gluten-free, egg-free, and diary-free turkey burger is packed with flavor and nutrients! An awesome quick, one-pan dinner idea with turnip fries and a veggie of your choice.

Ingredients:

-1 package of organic ground turkey

-1 tbsp cassava flour

-spices of choice (I used sea salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, parsley, rosemary and dill)

-1/4 cup shredded carrots

-1/4 cup shredded cabbage (color of choice)

-1/2 cup shredded spinach

*option to add three minced garlic cloves and 1/4 cup of diced onion (avoid for candida diets)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except for the ground turkey.

  3. Mix in the ground turkey with a spatula, wooden spoon or your hands!

  4. Divide the turkey mixture into four equally sized pieces and shape into burgers. Note: the turkey IS messy and will stick to your hands. Place the burgers on a greased baking pan.

  5. Place the burgers on the bottom rack of the oven and cook at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, flip the burgers and cook 10-15 more minutes or until done.

  6. Option to serve with additional shredded carrot and cabbage on top. I used my 4-ingredient bean dip as a cheesy sauce too!

*If making turnip fries, just peel and slice them into fry-sized strips. Toss lightly with extra virgin olive oil and above spices. Spread in a single layer around the turkey burgers. Flip the fries when you flip the burgers! If you want a crispier fry, try the air fryer instead.. 400F for 10 minutes, shaking often :)

**I served this with air-fried broccoli (375 for 8 minutes)!

ENJOY!!

With love,

Brie
